A Benediction

Tuesday, June 13, 2017, 7:00 a.m. – The Lord Jesus put in mind the song “God Be with You till We Meet Again.” Speak, Lord, your words to my heart. I read Jeremiah 30:23-31:11: (Select vv. ESV).

A Whirling Tempest (30:23-24)

Behold the storm of the Lord!
Wrath has gone forth,
a whirling tempest;
it will burst upon the head of the wicked.
The fierce anger of the Lord will not turn back
until he has executed and accomplished
the intentions of his mind.
In the latter days you will understand this.

We are living in those latter days now. And, there are many storms and tempests blowing all around us. Some of them are literal storms, while others are outbursts and eruptions of a different kind (nature). Some are impacting the atmosphere associated with the physical earth, while others are influencing our surroundings on a more social, economic, religious and/or political sphere. And, both kinds of tempests can result in violence and destruction of property, and can cause loss of life and health and well-being. Some are literally storms of the Lord, which he generates, even though he may use human beings to carry them out. Others are allowed by God, because he allows evil to exist in this world, but he sets limits on them.

In context, what we learn here is that God first judged his wayward and rebellious people. He used wicked people, who were bent on the destruction of Israel, as his divine instruments of judgment on his adulterous and idolatrous children. And, then, when he had accomplished his purposes in the hearts of his people, he turned on their enemies, and he did to his people’s enemies what they did to Israel.

And, so it is again in these last days. God is judging and will judge his adulterous and rebellious children, i.e. his wayward church (See: Rev. 2-3), and he is using and will use the US government, their allies, the beast and the false prophet, as his divine instruments of judgment, but then he will turn on them, and it will be payback, and they will receive back in spades what they did, are doing, and yet will do to others. And, this storm is not far off, I believe. Although God uses evil and wicked people to accomplish his purposes in the hearts and minds of his followers, yet he still judges them for their evil deeds.

They Found Grace (31:1-6)

“At that time, declares the Lord, I will be the God of all the clans of Israel, and they shall be my people.”
Thus says the Lord:
“The people who survived the sword
found grace in the wilderness;
when Israel sought for rest,
the Lord appeared to him from far away.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.
Again I will build you, and you shall be built,
O virgin Israel!
Again you shall adorn yourself with tambourines
and shall go forth in the dance of the merrymakers.
Again you shall plant vineyards
on the mountains of Samaria;
the planters shall plant
and shall enjoy the fruit.
For there shall be a day when watchmen will call
in the hill country of Ephraim:
‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion,
to the Lord our God.’”

Throughout history, the primary purpose for God judging his people, and for discipling them and scourging them, was to revive and to restore them, and to turn their hearts away from their idols back to God, to follow him in all their ways from that day forward. He also uses divine discipline as a means to holiness and sanctification, that we might bear much fruit for his eternal kingdom, and that we might yield the peaceful fruit of righteousness. And, this, too, is his grace to us, because he loves us so much, so he will do what is needed (necessary) in order to bring us back to him, because what we need is to be in fellowship with him and to be walking in his ways. God always wants what is best for us, and this is what is best for us.

When we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, to be Lord and Savior of our lives, we are crucified with Christ in death to sin, and we are resurrected with Christ in newness of life, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Jesus died, not just to free us from the penalty of sin (spiritual death/eternal damnation), and not just to give us the hope of eternal life with God. Jesus died that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. He died that we might no longer live for ourselves, but for him who gave his life up for us. His grace is NOT a free license to continue in willful sin against God. His grace, which brings salvation, teaches us to say “NO” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives while we wait for his return. If we say we have fellowship with God, but we walk (in lifestyle) in darkness (sin), we are liars.

So, for those who have wandered off from the purpose for which we were saved, or for those who make a profession of faith in Jesus, but who never have truly believed in Jesus Christ, because they never did turn from their sins or follow the Lord in obedience, the call is to repent of your sins, leave your life of sin behind you, and turn to God to follow him in all his ways. He will revive and restore you, or he will save you from your sins for the first time. Concerning the adulterous, idolatrous and worldly church now, when he disciplines them in judgment, and he revives them, they will once again have the joy and peace of the Lord, and of their salvation, and they will walk in his holiness, and they will be his witnesses so that others can be saved.

A Straight Path (31:9-11)

With weeping they shall come,
and with pleas for mercy I will lead them back,
I will make them walk by brooks of water,
in a straight path in which they shall not stumble,
for I am a father to Israel,
and Ephraim is my firstborn.
“Hear the word of the Lord, O nations,
and declare it in the coastlands far away;
say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him,
and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.’
For the Lord has ransomed Jacob
and has redeemed him from hands too strong for him.

When we sin against our Lord, and the Holy Spirit convicts our hearts, it should bring us to tears. Yet, we should not be sorrowful with a worldly sorrow, just because we got caught, or just because we got disciplined, but we should have a godly sorrow which leads to genuine repentance, i.e. to a change of heart and mind which results in change of words and actions. We should be humbled that God spared our lives, and that he cared enough about us to move us to repentance, and that he did not leave us floundering in our sins. We should be so grateful for his grace to us in bringing pain and suffering into our lives so as to motivate us toward his holiness and righteousness; and away from sin and rebellion, to walks of faith and obedience to our Lord.

Yet, when this time comes, and the church is scattered because of God’s judgments, and because of the severity of the persecution of the saints of God who are following the ways of the Lord, which may already be what is taking place in other parts of the world; and many are martyred for their faith and testimonies for Jesus Christ, many of us will be separated from each other, and we will not be rejoined until we are all with our Lord forever. So, for those who survive this storm, let this benediction be for you (for us).

God Be with You till We Meet Again
Jeremiah E. Rankin, William G. Tomer

God be with you till we meet again;
by his counsels guide, uphold you,
with his sheep securely fold you;
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
neath his wings securely hide you,
daily manna still provide you;
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
when life’s perils thick confound you,
put his arms unfailing round you;
God be with you till we meet again.

God be with you till we meet again;
keep love’s banner floating o’er you,
smite death’s threatening wave before you;
God be with you till we meet again.

Till we meet, till we meet,
till we meet at Jesus’ feet;
till we meet, till we meet,
God be with you till we meet again.

They Rise Up

Friday, April 21, 2017, 9:09 a.m. – The Lord Jesus put in mind the song “Why are You Afraid?” Speak, Lord, your words to my heart. I read Acts 4:23-31 (NIV).

On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them. When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David:

“‘Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth rise up
and the rulers band together
against the Lord
and against his anointed one.’

Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed. They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

The Nations Rage

In our world today, the nations are raging again, and they are persecuting the Lord’s servants and messengers, commanding them not to preach the message of the gospel, as was taught by Jesus and his NT apostles, nor to try to convert others to faith in Jesus Christ. So far, it isn’t the name of Jesus they so much object to, as far as I can tell, as long as they keep their faith to themselves, i.e. as long as they are not preaching it to others. Even in the church this is being stressed that we need to “stay in our own lane” and not say anything to anyone which might offend them. Much of the church is teaching more that we just need to be nice to people and do good deeds, but not evangelize them. Our world leaders want the world to all join hands together singing “Kumbaya.” They want us to all agree together to accept all religions as viable and to not pass judgment on people’s sins.

But, Christians are not the only ones being targeted by “the nations,” i.e. by this New World Order beast. The world, at large, is suffering under the hands of these tyrants who are busy taking over the world, one nation at a time. So, who is behind all this? Well, there are many players, including the Bilderberg group, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, Big banks, Freemasons, Zionists, and CEOs of corporations, etc. The US government serves this beast as a temporary structure, in support of and as workers for this New World Order of the Elite (the shadow government) while it is being built (formed). The US serves as their military arm, and as their messengers to the people of the world, including to the people of our own nation, in order to strong-arm or manipulate (deceive) them into submission to the beast.

Since Donald Trump became the president of the USA, our nation is moving even closer to coming under the full authority of this New World Order beast, as are many other nations in this world. I doubt that there are many nations left today which have not been conquered, and whose governments are not already comprised of transitional governments (temporary structures) of the New World Order until this beast kingdom is fully built. Right now this New World Order beast, i.e. the All-Seeing Eye of Horus, hovers over the world (the unfinished pyramid), which they are restructuring (remodeling), in order to build this global totalitarian kingdom of the beast. But, one day it will all come crashing down on all of us, well particularly here in America, as the rest of the world, or most of it seems to have already experienced the weight of this beast on their shoulders.

What we, especially as Americans, need to understand, and we all need to pray about this, is that Revelation 13 is being fulfilled right now, in our time, and that America is the harlot (Babylon) which rides the beast, but is hated by the beast, and he will destroy her when he is finished using her. We are not the good guys and humanitarians going around the world rescuing people, well our government is not. We are the terrorists of the world who are going around the world killing at will, murdering innocents, terrorizing people, taking over sovereign nations, pillaging, raping, stealing and destroying property and human lives. Our news media is owned by this New World Order and so they report only what they want the people to believe. We finance, equip and train terrorists. N. Korea, Iran and Syria are not the ones we need to fear, although we should not fear anyone but God. The US government, under the authority of this N.W.O. beast, is doing all this stuff and then blaming it all on others.

Raised Voices

When we read in the news about all these terrorist attacks, please understand that these people are working for the beast, and most all of the unrest now going on in the world is being orchestrated by this N.W.O. beast as part of their “remodeling” of the world, in order to build the kingdom of the beast. And, this is going to be a fact of life from here on out until our Lord returns, I believe.

Yet, instead of letting all this unsettle us and to make us afraid, we need to raise our voices to God in prayer, believe that he is absolutely sovereign over all that he has made, and that he has a plan and a purpose for it all. I believe his purpose is to revive his adulterous and complacent church and to bring many people to faith in Jesus Christ before he returns to judge and to take his followers (his bride) to be with him forever. I believe this is what the prophecies of scripture teach regarding these final days before the return of the Lord.

What this beast New World Order is doing, although definitely it is of Satan, is what God, in his sovereignty, but also in his mercy and justice, decided beforehand should happen. It was foretold in the Old Testament prophets as well as in the New Testament. So, this should not take us by surprise that these events are unfolding before our eyes.

But, I know, when you are in the midst of the storm, that sometimes it is difficult to have this perspective. I know, too, that I am right now sitting in a comfortable chair writing on a laptop computer in the comfort of a warm apartment, and I am not presently running for my life or dodging bullets, at least not physically, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have my trials, too, or that this is not coming to my home, as well, because it is. And, the reality of it all is becoming more and more evident every day.

Yet, I also know God is going to bring good out of this, and that he is going to perform miracles in people’s hearts and lives, and I believe he already is. So, we just need to trust him with this and believe that he will take care of us, and not let the threats of war and terrorism make us afraid. Instead, we should bring all our concerns to God in prayer, and pray for boldness and courage to keep speaking in Jesus’ name in sharing the full gospel message to a dying world in need of the Savior.

Why Are You Afraid? / An Original Work / December 5, 2013

Based off Various Scriptures

Do not be afraid.
Your Lord is always by your side.
Serve the Lord in righteousness
Before Him all your days.

Those who hate the light
Will not come to the Lord.
They fear their deeds
Might be noticed.
So, they hate the light,
And they embrace the night.

Do not be afraid,
Although your enemy attacks.
Dare to share your testimony
Of God’s saving grace.

Do not fear their threats,
But honor Christ, your Lord.
Be prepared to give an answer
For the hope you have,
With gentleness; respect.

Why are you afraid?
For all that’s hidden will be shown.
What I tell you, speak in daylight.
Let the truth be known.

Do not be afraid
Of those who’ll take your life.
Fear the Lord with understanding.
Trust Him with your life,
And give not up to strife.

Do not be afraid.
Take courage, it is I, your Lord.
Bow before Me; now adore Me.
Oh, why do you doubt?

Listen to the Lord.
Get up, and bear His name!
Run and tell the world He loves them.
Jesus came to save.
Give Him your all today.

God our Strength

Thursday, October 27, 2016, 6:00 a.m. – The Lord Jesus put in mind the song “Total Praise.” Speak, Lord, your words to my heart. I read Psalm 81 (NIV).

Sing for Joy (vv. 1-5)

Sing for joy to God our strength;
shout aloud to the God of Jacob!
Begin the music, strike the timbrel,
play the melodious harp and lyre.

Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon,
and when the moon is full, on the day of our festival;
this is a decree for Israel,
an ordinance of the God of Jacob.
When God went out against Egypt,
he established it as a statute for Joseph.

Our God is not only our salvation, and our deliverance from all evil, but he is our strength and our song in good times and in bad times. When our human strength is gone, and we feel like we can’t go another mile, his strength keeps going, and he carries us through to the end. On this subject, one of my favorite hymns is “He Giveth More Grace,” by Annie J. Flint:

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

His love has no limit, His grace has no measure,
His power has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.

When we get to the point to where we say, “I just can’t do this anymore,” God gives us his strength, if we will just lean on him, and rest in him, and let him empower us far beyond our natural ability to endure. He has done this many, many times in my life, so I know this is true. His strength never ends! He keeps on giving us all we need to endure, to persevere, and to continue in him and in his Word, and in testifying to his grace, which is never ending. He is not going to give us what he will not equip us to make it through.

The Burden Removed (vv. 6-7)

I heard an unknown voice say:
“I removed the burden from their shoulders;
their hands were set free from the basket.
In your distress you called and I rescued you,
I answered you out of a thundercloud;
I tested you at the waters of Meribah.

Do you know that you can be in a physical prison, and yet be free, and you can be physically free to go wherever you want, and yet be in prison? You can also be going through a great trial, and yet still have your burden lifted, or you can be care free, and everything could be going smoothly for you, and still you may have the weight of the world on your shoulders.

What it all boils down to is attitude, faith and trust in God. Do we let our circumstances control us, or do we rise above them through putting our faith in the Lord? Do our circumstances define us and what our reactions should be, or does our faith in God define us and determine our responses to our difficulties? In other words, through placing our trust in the Lord Jesus in all things, we should be at peace and rest, even if all hell is breaking loose all around us. We can be at peace in knowing that our God is fully sovereign and completely in control over all things, and that he will give us all we need to endure, to be victorious, and to be at peace even in the midst of storms.

No Foreign God (vv. 8-10)

Hear me, my people, and I will warn you—
if you would only listen to me, Israel!
You shall have no foreign god among you;
you shall not worship any god other than me.
I am the Lord your God,
who brought you up out of Egypt.
Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.

Sometimes God sends storms into our lives because he wants to get our attention, because he has something he wants to teach us that we would not learn in any other way. One thing God’s people have struggled with all throughout history is a temptation or a drawing to follow after other gods. And, so, God often sent messages to his people through his prophets, and now through his written Word, warning us not to have other gods among us, and to not give them our worship. In other words, we are not to give other people or things the level of adoration, reverence, respect, devotion, passion, faithfulness, loyalty and love meant for God and for God alone.

If My People (vv. 11-16)

“But my people would not listen to me;
Israel would not submit to me.
So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts
to follow their own devices.

“If my people would only listen to me,
if Israel would only follow my ways,
how quickly I would subdue their enemies
and turn my hand against their foes!
Those who hate the Lord would cringe before him,
and their punishment would last forever.
But you would be fed with the finest of wheat;
with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”

If we want God to be our strength and our song, and if we want his protection and his deliverance from evil, and if we desire to be filled with his peace, and to have our burdens lifted from our shoulders, then we need to listen to him and do what he tells us. When we go our own stubborn way, we are only adding to our misery, and we will never be at peace.

If we want to follow God/Jesus, and to know the way in which he would have us go, then we need to obey what we already know. So many people are praying for God’s leading, and to know his will for their lives, while they are holding on to known sin in their lives, and they are not willing to let those things go. That won’t work! If we want God to work in our lives, then we need to work with him, i.e. we need to cooperate with his work of grace in our lives in conforming us to the image of Christ. Then, he will be our strength, and he will lift our burdens, and we will know perfect peace.

Total Praise / Richard Smallwood

…Your peace You give me in time of the storm
You are the source of my strength
You are the strength of my life
I lift my hands in total praise to You…

Storm Surge

Saturday, October 8, 2016, 5:16 a.m. – The Lord Jesus, once again, put the song “For Our Nation” in my mind. This song has been strong in my mind for weeks now. I believe it is because the forces of evil are strong in this world now, and that our world and our individual nations need prayer more than any other time in history. I live in the USA, and I know without a doubt that we are in serious need of prayer. I believe the Lord is applying this psalm today to America, and to the wayward and worldly church here.

Speak, Lord, your words to my heart. I read Psalm 38 (NASB).

A Psalm of David, for a memorial.

O Lord, rebuke me not in Your wrath,
And chasten me not in Your burning anger.
For Your arrows have sunk deep into me,
And Your hand has pressed down on me.
There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your indignation;
There is no health in my bones because of my sin.
For my iniquities are gone over my head;
As a heavy burden they weigh too much for me.
My wounds grow foul and fester
Because of my folly.
I am bent over and greatly bowed down;
I go mourning all day long.
For my loins are filled with burning,
And there is no soundness in my flesh.
I am benumbed and badly crushed;
I groan because of the agitation of my heart…

Do not forsake me, O Lord;
O my God, do not be far from me!
Make haste to help me,
O Lord, my salvation! (vv. 1-8, 21-22)

Over my Head

When I read this passage this morning, verse 4 stood out to me. It says, “My iniquities are gone over my head; as a heavy burden they weigh too much for me.” I wanted to understand what this was saying, so I looked it up to see what the Bible commentators were saying about it. I read that it means like waves of the sea above his head; the feeling of being overwhelmed and nearly drowned. I read, as well, that this could be a reference to the guilt he felt for his sins, or it could be in reference to the punishment he received for his sins, i.e. God’s divine correction and discipline in his life. The burden of the guilt he felt for his sins or the burden of the punishment for his sin, to him, was like a tsunami or a “storm surge.”

I could not help but feel that this was somehow related to the news, so I spent some time this morning reading what the news was reporting, although I question the legitimacy of most of what they say. One of the stories headlining the news was about Hurricane Matthew, which purportedly caused much damage in Haiti and then went up the east coast of the USA, now as far as South Carolina, I believe. From what I have heard first-hand from people I know, the storm was not as bad as what they had predicted, but there were high winds and rain, and the news reported flooding. But, what stood out to me in all these stories was the continual mention of something called a “storm surge.” I read somewhere that this was a new phenomenon, but I could not find anything to substantiate that yet.

I read on Wikipedia that a “storm surge is a coastal flood or tsunami-like phenomenon of rising water commonly associated with low pressure weather systems (such as tropical cyclones and strong extratropical cyclones).” A tsunami is “a very high, large wave in the ocean that is usually caused by an earthquake under the sea and that can cause great destruction when it reaches land” (dictionary.com). So, one is purportedly caused by a low pressure weather system while the other is caused by an earthquake under the sea. Yet, they seem to have similar effects. I am no scientist, so I can’t tell you if that makes sense or not. But, let me continue…

Another Storm

Another storm was brewing in the news, too, and this one has to do with the two candidates who are running for the highest political office in the United States of America, i.e. who are vying for the title of president of the USA. Evidently, according to the news media, which can’t be trusted, it has been revealed that there were tape recordings from 2005 of Donald Trump saying sexually lewd and degrading comments about women, and now Donald Trump is supposedly losing much of his support from the Republican party. Now, I will state here that I believe Trump and Clinton are both actors, and they both answer to the same people, or they are among the people the governments of the world answer to, which is comprised of the wealthy, powerful and elite of this world, and that there is no right or left politically.

Other “storms” which have carried the news the past several months, in particular, have to do with all these mostly orchestrated mass killings, and cop killings, and cops killing blacks, and subsequent riots, and other “surges” that were not at that level before in America, such as the massive global push against intolerance and for bringing the whole world together as one united people of one united faith where we all join hands together and sing “Kumbaya.” I read this: “In the US, however, the song was associated with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and other campers sitting around a campfire in perfect harmony. The picture of a warm, cozy community without conflict associated itself with the song” (Source: alphadictionary.com). Exactly!

A Different Kind

So, what does all this mean, and what does it have to do with this passage in Psalm 38? Well, I looked up the words “storm” and “surge” separately. This is what I learned: “Storm” means “a sudden occurrence of something in large amounts; a situation in which many people are angry, upset, etc.; a tumultuous outburst ” (M-W Dictionary); a “Riot, uprising, disorder, revolt, and/or revolution” (dictionary.com). And, “surge” means to “flood, overwhelm, drown or submerge.”

What I believe the Lord is showing me here is two-fold. For one, in case you have not noticed, a “storm surge” of a different kind has been going on within our nation for some time now, and the waves are getting higher and higher, and we, as a nation, are about to drown. Yet, America did not wake up one morning and all of a sudden decide to have mass shootings and cop/black killings back-to-back in rapid succession followed by riots, protests, and the like. No! This is the same M.O. used by the N.W.O. in many other nations, over the past 10 years or so, in taking them down (over). And, nearly everyone I have spoken with about this political contest for president of the USA says it is a circus, and they have never seen anything like it ever before in the history of our nation. Many people feel it is really a choice between the lesser of the two evils. So, what is going on?

I believe America is being taken down, i.e. she is being taken over by the New World Order “beast,” who will bring “order out of chaos,” but chaos which this “beast” first orchestrated, and of which our government is a part, and is leading the charge, in many cases, i.e. in a willful course to self-destruct. Our enemy is within the gates, and is taking us apart one piece at a time until there is nothing left of the America we once knew, or at least we imagined that we once had. And, this political contest and the mass shootings, and cop/black killings and riots and protests (most all orchestrated, I believe) are all part of the game plan to destroy America from within. And, soon, we will be under the authority of this New World Order, and the America we once knew and loved will be only a memory.

But, this is not just about the takeover of America, as a nation, but it is about the obliteration of our sovereign government, and it is about the destruction of the gospel, as taught by Jesus and his NT apostles. And, it is concerning the silencing of the Lord’s messengers, and the forcing of people of all nations and all religions and all walks of life to come together in perfect harmony as one unified world under a one-world dictatorship and a one-world religion. This, I believe, is the purpose of all these “storm surges,” i.e. the political unrest, mass killings, racial tensions, etc. we are experiencing in America, in order that the N.W.O. can come in and “save the day.”

A Heavy Burden

I said this “storm surge” was two-fold. The other part of this, I believe, is that we are being judged by Almighty God for our many sins, as a nation, and as the church in this nation. Our Lord is trying to get our attention, as the people of this nation, before things come crashing down all around us. He is calling out to our nation, and to the wayward church in this nation, to repent of our sins of idolatry, witchcraft, spiritual adultery, and murder, etc. He wants to save human lives from their sinful condition, and he wants to revive his wayward church, and to return her to pure devotion to him as her only Lord (owner-master). So, I believe all this craziness (the storm surges) we have been witnessing for some time now, although plotted out by our enemies in order to destroy us, is all in God’s plan and purpose for the people of this nation, and for his church here, in order to save us from our sins and from self-destructing spiritually, and in order to revive his church, and to bring them back to him in pure devotion and fellowship.

So, God is calling out to us today to hear his voice speaking to our hearts and to walk in obedience to him and to follow him wherever he leads us. Things are only going to get much worse in this world of ours as the end is nearing and the beast is rising and the Lord’s return is not that far off in the distant future. So, what will your response be to him? Will you keep on going your own stubborn way and ignore his pleas? Or, will you yield your life to him today to do his will and to do it his way? I can tell you that there is no better way to live than in the center of his will, doing what he has called you to do. Nothing else satisfies, and nothing else will bring about eternal rewards. Don’t ignore God. Bow before him today, and say “Yes” to Jesus.

For Our Nation / An Original Work / September 11, 2012

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.

Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.

Jesus Christ is gently calling
